Big Blue Button (en)

The Studentenwerk Erlangen-Nürnberg uses Big Blue Button as a platform for online-based events such as our online counselling sessions as well as the language café.


Below you will find instructions on how to avoid problems with the audio connection.


Tip: Use a browser based on WebKit / Blink, e.g.

  •     Chrome
  •     Edge
  •     Opera
  •     Safari, ...

  • To be able to join the conversation, select the option "Mit Mikrofon".

  • Test your audio device. If you can hear yourself well, click the green button.

  • To select the correct audio device, open the drop-down menu by clicking on the white circle with arrow.

  • Make sure that the correct audio device is selected. It may happen that the integrated camera of your laptop or webcam is automatically selected, even if you have connected a headset. Switch to the device of your choice.
