Day care centers of the Studierendenwerk

The Studierendenwerk operates three of its own daycare centers in Erlangen and Nuremberg for children between the ages of one and three. Preference is given to children of student parents. The daycare places for children of student parents are offered by the Studierendenwerk Erlangen-Nürnberg at very reasonable prices.

Admission requirement at favourable conditions for students is the enrolment of at least one parent at a state or state-recognised higher education institution in Bavaria (a student union fee must be paid).

The childcare centres KraKadU I and KraKadU II of the Studierendenwerk Erlangen-Nürnberg are located in the heart of Erlangen and can be easily reached by public transport.

The childcare centres are located on the ground floor of the student residences Hofmannstraße 25 in 91052 Erlangen and Henkestraße 35 in 91054 Erlangen.

Our small, family-orientated facilities each offer space for a maximum of 12 children aged 1 - 3 years.

In our KraKadU childcare centres, we focus on the children's strengths and build on them. In this way, we recognise and encourage special preferences, abilities and skills even at this age. Thanks to the age and gender mix in our groups, the children automatically gain experiences that they need for their own identity development.

Children of students are given priority and are accepted on very favourable terms.

Further information on the childcare centres:

The KiKriKi childcare centre run by the Studierendenwerk Erlangen-Nürnberg is located in the St. Peter district of Nuremberg and is very easy to reach by public transport.

Our small family-run centre offers space for a maximum of 8 children aged 1 - 3 years. The premises are located on the ground floor of Nuremberg's St. Peter student hall of residence at Walter-Meckauer-Straße 22 in a quiet inner courtyard.

Children, parents and educational staff should feel at home in the childcare centre. A loving and respectful co-operation is the basis for this. TRUST is very important to us. We do not encourage children, but support them in making their own experiences and learning from them.

Children of students are given priority and are accepted on very favourable terms.
