The halls of residence run by Studierendenwerk in Erlangen
Overview of halls of residence run by other organisations
Studierendenwerk runs a housing referral office in Erlangen (the accommodation offers are only available in German).
Students who enjoy living with other people and would rather help them than pay rent can now take part in the Living for Help project run by the City of Erlangen in cooperation with the Student Services Association and FAU. In addition to helpful students, the project appeals to people who have unused living space and would like to share it with someone who can support them in their everyday life. Further information is also available from the Erlangen Private Room Agency of the Student Services Association.
Students are also eligible for social housing. For legal reasons, apartment-sharing communities cannot be granted social housing.
