As is common in other universities, students usually refer available private housing space to other students. Free rooms are posted on the notice board of the Students’ Social Services (Sozialwerk) in the Sommerresidenz.

If you’re looking for accommodation and would like to take out an ad in the local daily newspaper:

Studierendenwerk does not run halls of residence in Eichstätt.

Other publicly-aided halls of residence

There are, however, several publicly-aided halls of residence in Eichstätt sponsored or managed by churches and charitable or private organisations. Only students are accepted there. The responsible organisations follow relevant state guidelines concerning rental fees for students’ residences. Interested parties are advised to contact the organisations directly.
